The narrow-gauge Wopsy Railroad had many corporate names over its short 29-year span. There always seemed to be rival factions that never seemed to agree on how to run a railroad.

Whatever its “official” name, locals around Blair County affectionately referred to it as the Wopsy Railroad. Below is a Wopsy Railroad Timeline from its charter date in 1890 until the rails were removed to sell as scrap in 1925.
