This 1899 Wopsononock Time Table & Tourist’s Guide was reprinted for the 1980 opening of the Altoona Railroaders Memorial Museum. Wopsononock is described as “The Switzerland of America.” The mountain-top is said to be “the coolest place on earth, away from the hot and torrid sun, for rest and recreation.”
